This is the front of the cover of the journal. After I went over it with the free motion machine embroidery I added some hand embroidery and beads over the top. I also cut it in some areas to expose the under layers. I made the cord to use as tie to keep bits and pieces inside the journal from falling out.
This is the back view of the journal. I did not put as much embelishment on the back because I thought it would not stand the wear and tear after using it for a long time.

This is so beautiful! I can't imagine ever being brave enough to write in something so fantastic looking! I love the purple/pink color.

Hi Natima, your work looks so beautiful, I can't wait to see it next week, sadly you will not be seeing mine, I made a mistake and with horror it all went wrong after that. I plan on starting a new piece from scratch.
