Okay, my first photo for Anything Goes Wednesday is a collection of books I rescued from a discarded trolley. I was mainly looking for books that I can re-purpose into handmade books, but sometimes I come across fantastic old and interesting looking books. For example one of these books in the picture, Swan River Saga, tells about the life of an early Australian pioneer Eliza Shaw. The other book, Ghost of Many Christmas, was one of only 100 copies printed in 1958. I am looking forward to reading some of these books. The little red book is a Russian poem which I only saved to use for its cover. Oh, the little heart is a piece of stitching I brought in to match with the book cover I have saved.
And here is the heart and soul of my work, my computer. A big part of my job is working with the library information system and we communicate online. Every computer is connected to the Internet and we have a chat system where we can chat with our colleagues and friends from other areas in the library.
Lastly, this is my little kitchenette where I store all my tea, coffee, hand cream, hand sanitiser, plant, note pad and some souvenirs that colleagues brought back from their travels. I even have a stress ball for de-stress. The books that you can see are the ones I rescued from the discarded trolley and are waiting there for me to decide what to do with them.
