Happy Birthday to Bron

It is Bron's birthday today. Happy Birthday Bron, hope you are having a nice day. Bronwyn is my DIL and the mother of my gorgeous GD Isabella. Our son and his family live quite away from us so, we don't see them very often. We keep in touch on Skype which is the best way for us to communicate. We can see them and when we turn on our video camera they can see us too. Lately I discovered that DG recognizes my voice and every time I talk to them Bron puts the phone on speaker so Isabella can hear my voice. She gets so excited to hear me. I can't wait for the day that I can speak to her properly. It won't be long now!

I took this photo of Bron on her wedding day last June. She looks so pretty and natural. I love this photo. My friend The Faerie Queen would be very proud to see the card I made for Bron. It looks easy doesn't it? But let me tell you, it was not. My Photoshop Elements skills still have a way to go to reach mastery level. Live and learn, that's how I believe!

Here comes the birthday present. I made this bag for Bron last Sunday. The pattern of this bag came from the Patchwork Bag magazine that was part of my Birthday giveaways. I got one for myself and I thought it would be a good giveaway gift. It is a perfect bag for a mother with a young baby. She can carry a lot of baby stuff in there.

No, I didn't make two bags! It is one bag with two flaps. They can be interchanged to use either one of them by tugging the second flap inside the bag when it is not in use. Very clever design don't you think?

The handle is adjustable by moving the buttons to either set of button holes. The denim fabric came from my dress that I re purposed. The patchwork fabric came from my stash of strips and plaids. I think Bron will get a lot of use out of this bag. I really enjoyed creating it, and would like to make one for myself in a different colour scheme.
