Christmas Day

We had a great Christmas day today. DS and his family arrived late on Christmas Eve. They traveled for over 10 hours to get here with the baby. I really looked forward to their arrival. I was baking and cooking all through the day and was glad I got everything done before they arrived. DGD travel very well on the trip; she was asleep when they arrived. Poor baby, she must have been tired. She did have a good night's sleep on Christmas Eve too.

My Christmas present from DS's family was to let me post DGD's photo on my blog for the first time. It's a great present because up until now I couldn't post her photo on my blog and I so very much wanted to show her off to you. She is the cutest little baby (said me!). This is DGD's first Christmas and we are lucky to have her spend it with us. I'm very pleased!! Here she is with her mum at the table. They are both looking very festive with their Santa hats...!
Look what Santa brought me for Christmas? A red car!!! Yes, my favorite color of all time RED. I did promise Santa that I will take good care of it and even clean it sometimes too. It is a Nissan Dualis. This is the third Nissan I have owned and I'm loving it!!!
DS was looking forward to the big event of presents opening. It started from when my children were young that on Xmas day they had to open all their presents before they could do anything else. So today, I delayed that a bit longer to take some photos of him with his Santa hat and red jumper. It was quite cool today. The temp. is 22'C with rain expected later on. I love it this way and we have been lucky in the last few years.

Hope everybody enjoyed your Christmas and Santa brought you something as nice as he did for me...!
