Christmas Show and Tell

Lately I have been hearing "I can't believe Christmas is here already!" I have been saying the same thing too. Yes, Christmas is almost here! Without planning it, last weekend I decided to put up Christmas decorations, woo hoo, I did it! I am sure everyone has their favourite Christmas decorations. I have many of them so today I will show you some of my favourite decorations and their stories. Enjoy the Christmas season everyone!

My little silver tree in the guest room. I decided to decorate it with handmade hearts I have been making these last few years. Some of the hearts were make from old doilies. I had fun making them.

These twin Santas were a new addition since last Christmas. I was in Sydney visiting Myra and we bought them together. They will always remind me of my time with Myra in Sydney.

The tin Santas were part of my Santa collection. You will see them standing in front of my favourite Santa quilt that took me years to complete.

This hand embroidered heart on felt is my favourite. I found it at an open air market a few years ago. I love it so much and often think of the person who made it.

My white collections come out every Christmas. The collection includes glass baubles, angels and soft  knitted ornaments.

Here are the three knitted angels I found at the Swedish Christmas market here in Melbourne. Don't you just adore them?

Christmas pudding made by Sue in one of the blog Christmas swaps. A lot of work and a lot of sequins go into making the pudding. Thanks Sue!

Here is my Santa collection and my Santa quilt. It's my favourite quilt. I am happy I did it even though it took forever to complete!

I made the date palm tree when we lived in Abu Dhabi. I was part of the ornament committee for my children's school. It took me two days to make this and it was sold for only $15. I had to make another one for me to keep after all that work. It always reminds me of the American Community School (ACS) in Abu Dhabi.

A baby camel was the one ornament everyone had to have when living in Abu Dhabi. I made it using a pattern from the ornament committee at ACS.

Last are these oversized baubles that are too big to go on the tree. So I just loaded them in the retro bowl and use them for table decorations.

Have you noticed there is no Christmas tree here? There is a tree in the house, but for some reason none of the photos turned out well. I will show it to you when I get a chance to take it again during the week.

I hope you enjoy my Christmas show and tell. Now it's your turn for Christmas show and tell...

Have a great one
Nat

Lovely ornaments; is the palm tree difficult--my husband and I went to the Carribean last year and I would like to make a memento for the tree....Julierose
