Pinterest

How many of you use Pinterest? Click on the link if you haven't yet used "Pinterest". Pinterest is an online pin board used to store all your favorite images, books, recipes and websites you find on the internet that you want to keep in one place. You can pin and repin from other members' boards or from anywhere on the internet, and from your own blog and computer as well. I was introduced to it about a year ago and I'm so pleased with it that I no longer need to save any images on my computer. So if you haven't Pinterest yet, start one today...!

Here are some examples of the boards I started. The left board is for the Japanese textiles. The right board is for Quilts. I haven't had much time to play around with them too much. Every time I get an email telling me that other Pinterest members are repining my images, I remember to go there and play with it a bit more. I'm loving it and it's a brilliant way of keeping track of all the images, books and recipes in one place. You can view my Pinterest boards here.

Enjoy
Nat

You make a good case for it but I'm trying to resist any new things to cause me to spend time on the computer, we'll see!!

I love it! Such a great place to get inspired!
Got to watch how much time I spend over there..but it definitely helps me decide my likes and dislikes:)

My daughter convinced me I needed to start on Pinterest, so I signed up recently. It can be very addictive!(the good kind!) I'm trying to control the time spent there already.

i have stayed away from pinterest because of copyright issues. there are some people who object to your taking their image and posting it elsewhere so i'm staying in my own little world. but i so enjoy seeing yours and others.

I'm terrified of giving my time to anything else. I got off facebook for that reason. Nakia and my mama are now on it. They pin all the time. Maybe one day they'll break me down. Happy to know you're enjoying it. You're such a talented creator I imagine your boards are brimming.

I just signed up, but haven't pinned yet. Like so many others, I am afraid I'll get sucked into the black hole and loose a big part of my day on the internet. LOL! I'll use my Mom's trick of setting the kitchen timer. Wishing you a beautiful weekend.

I just signed up, too! Now to figure out how to do it. Seems like a great way to organize all the goodness out there -- now I save EVERYTHING I see and like under "favorites" and have a list a mile long already! This looks like a way to not have to do that. Thanks for the inspiration, Nat! xo

be careful what you post on pinterest. you loose the exploitation right on your own pictures. as much as I enjoyed looking at certain pinboatds at pinterest, I now stay away from it.
