I would like to share my Christmas decorations at home for 2012 here with you. Sorry the photos are a bit scattered; I like to place them according to size. I will keep the writing to a minimum so you can enjoy the photos. If you have been following my blog for awhile you will have seen some of my decorations before. It's lovely to see them again too.
I have been collecting Santa over the years. My Santas are not in a particular theme. I chose them for the happy faces. For many years I have been getting a new one each year to add to the collection, but I stopped doing it lately. This year my dear friend Georgina gave me a log Santa to go into my collection. Thanks Georgina, I love him.
I know most people have a theme for their tree decorations. I was planning a theme of hearts years ago, but I haven't got enough to fill my tree yet. This year my new heart is made of eco-dye fabric. The first one is up on the tree. Some more are being made as we speak...
Here are all my hearts including the blue ones that Terry gave me. What fun it is decorating with mostly handmade decorations.
Here is my Santa collection. I didn't put them all out this year. I just want to give some of them a break. What I bring out every year is my Santa quilt. You can see a better photo of the whole quilt below.
Do you have a special Christmas corner? This is my special Christmas corner - a redwork tree that I put up in my sewing room. The redwork embroidery was made years ago during my travels. They remind me of many places we visited. It was a nice and easy project to take along to stitch.
It's only a small tree. It's perfect for my small sewing room. I'm so pleased to say that I tidied up my sewing room just in time for Christmas. For most people my sewing room is not tidy, but I love it that way...
Here is the whole of Santa quilt. It's almost the whole quilt except the bottom border. I never get bored looking at this quilt. I worked on it for many years and enjoyed every stitch of it.

A closed up of a few blocks to share with you. I enjoyed choosing each fabric for the blocks. I add some simple embellishments to the blocks too.
I used come Christmas fabric for the blocks, but most of the fabric is not Christmas fabric. I got it machine quilted by a talented lady whom I lost touch with.
The miniature bear collection comes out to play at Christmas too. Every time I look at them I have to pinch myself to remind me that I actually made them! While going through the boxes I found Poo Bear I made for DS so I added him with the rest of the bears.
And here is the tree full of hearts. Almost full of hearts. I have a bit to go before I have enough hearts to fill the tree. Most of the decorations are handmade as well. Some baubles to add some sparks.
I'm so lucky to receive gorgeous handmade decorations from Ingrid Gerrod from the Netherlands. They are so beautiful and I will treasure them forever.
This is the second decoration from Ingrid. I don't know how she made them. It looks very complicated. Thanks Ingrid, they will now be part of my tree.
I'm sure I will be posting again before or during the Christmas holiday, but for now I would like to wish you all a wonderful and safe Christmas. I will leave you with this greeting message:
Light up with smiles. Pace up your walk.
May Christmas come and become an everyday happening.
Have a fantastic Christmas.
Until next time
Nat

Isn't it lovely to have those special things to bring out at this time of year and treasure for a short time before putting them away safely again? Such memories in each ornament. So fun to see your decorations this year, Nat. I remember your heart tree, and think that is such a good idea. I have a santa collection, too, but with the move, it's still in boxes in a storage unit. Hopefully I will be able to pull them all out next year.
More is More in your Christmas Nat.
Stupendous!!!!
Nat, your exuberance comes through in this joyful post! I lovelovelove your Santa quilt, I can't even imagine how many lifetimes that would've taken me. The hearts are precious and your eco-dyed one is especially lovely. But I'm partial to your eco-dyeing, as you know! Happy Christmas to you and yours, dear Nat. xoxo
