Blingee & Christmas Quilts

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope your Christmas preparation is going well so far. All the stockings are hung and the tree decorated with handmade ornaments hopefully. Don't forget to put out that note to Santa and a glass of milk and carrot for his helpers on Christmas Eve. I have two more days left at work, woo hoo!!! After that is shopping and baking time for me. My DS and his family are arriving on Christmas Eve. Here is the Christmas saying that I include in my Christmas cards every year:

Light up with smiles. Pace up your walk, May
Christmas come and become an everyday
happening. Have a fantastic Christmas...!

Christmas Wishes

I created this Blingee to wish you all Merry Christmas. I used the photos from some of my recent Christmas posts. Besides, it was a lot of fun learning how to Blingee. It's so easy you can make one too. You can use any photo from your computer. Beware, it's addictive!!!
On our bed is my Sweet Santa Dear quilt I finished two years ago. I hung it up last year as a backdrop for my Santa collections. You can see it hung here. This was the most enjoyable quilt to make. I enjoyed embellishing the blocks with embroidery and charms. I was a bit lost when I finished it, but I can enjoy it again when I bring it out each Christmas.
This is my Christmas Stars quilt. This quilt is also special to me. My friend Linda (no blog) gave me the border fabric. I really like it, I wanted to use it for a border so I didn't have to cut it up into small pieces. I only want some simple blocks for this quilt so when I found this star pattern at Quilterscache I knew that it would go perfectly with the border fabric.

I was invited by SewCalGal to enter my quilts in the Virtual Christmas Quilt Show I decide to enter two of my Christmas quilts above in the show. There are over 50 Christmas quilts in the show at the moment so please hop over and enjoy them.

Howdy Ms.Natty!! I am dedicated to begining a 12 to 20 block to use the applique info you sent. I'm dying to try it out. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your santa quilt!!

let me ask you... when you do your applique, do you machine or hand turn it & do you wash your applique projects? I have animals & I always have to ASSUME they will get hair on things even though it is very rare. I'd hate put in the work you obviously have done in my own projects if I can't properly care for them.

I can't wait... i'm going to have a bitty surprise for you!! Hugs. Tammy

Good choices for the Virtual Christmas Quilt show. The Santa quilt is a beautiful accomplishment. I would enjoy seeing close ups of it in future posts, hint, hint. :-) The star block was a perfect choice for the special border fabric. Thanks for sharing the story behind the beauty of the quilt.
