Christmas season begins in our household after December 7th. which is Kit's birthday. I used to spend weeks preparing Kit's birthday party so I could not really think of Christmas until after her birthday was over and done with. Kit is living away from home now, but I still have that same habit. Last weekend I put up the trees and decorated the house. It always takes me a couple of days to get everything done. I have one main tree and a few little ones. My tree is artificial and I am happy with that. It looks real enough for me.
I used to have enough ornaments to decorate two trees. A few years ago I gave half of them to Kit to decorate her own tree while she was at college. I have made more ornaments since then and I've bought some more as well so that I now have almost as many as before. This year I have two new handmade ornaments. I received one from my ornament swap partner Sue and there is one that I made for myself.
This is my stick tree made for me by a dear friend's husband when I lived in NSW. It is a tree for Angles with decorations made from glass in white and gold. The four little Angels on the bottom left are knitted Angels. I got them from the Swedish Christmas bazaar last weekend.
Family of trees in different shapes and forms. Some were handmade and some bought. I don't have a tree quilt so I am using this leaf quilt I finished only a couple of years ago as a backdrop. It might be time to make a tree quilt to go with my tree family! Yes, that is an idea...!

Oh Natima, the tree looks great! And I really love your 'family of trees'. What a fantastic display. Thank you so much for sharing.
Take care, Sue
Your tree is so beautiful. When the kids were little I had handmade ornaments all over the tree too. I think maybe next year I may make some new ones to put on the tree and maybe join a swap. It sounds wonderful.

I don't mind though, I can put it away with the lights still on it and save a step each year. Hugs. tammy... stop by for my giveaway... a stocking. If not your taste, you could give it as a gift.
